Village life at its traditional best is the promise at Bentleys,
a select collection of just seven executive homes at Hatfield Heath.

One of the most picturesque villages in Hertfordshire, Hatfield Heath is centred on a large open green where cricket is played in summer. It lies on the edge of Hatfield Forest, a large tract of woodland that is remnant of the royal forests which once covered large parts of West Essex. The neighbouring villages and hamlets include Hatfield Broad Oak, known for its historic timbered and plastered buildings.

Hatfield Heath remains unspoilt, despite its proximity to main commuter routes and London's third airport, although the village meets many day-to-day needs. It has a Post Office, convenience store, three public houses, quality restaurants and a visiting library. There is a primary school, with state and private education for older children to be found in nearby towns, Bishop's Stortford and Sawbridgeworth.
Chelmsford and Felsted, also have private schools that attract students from over a wide area.

Bishop's Stortford is convenient for the main retail names, including Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury's, as well as stylish boutiques. The town also has a new leisure complex compromising a multi-screen cinema, 10-pin bowling centre and Cannons Health Club.

In the opposite direction lies Chelmsford, the county town of Essex with a cathedral, university and attractions that include theatres, a museum and ice skating rink. the nearest general hospital to Bentleys is the Princess Alexandra at Harlow, and there is a private hospital, The Rivers, at High Wych near Sawbridgeworth.
